Behind the Food
My name is Chelsea Click and I am the owner of South Concho Food Co. I am a south Texas native that is now based out of Christoval where I live with my husband, our two babies, and our two dogs. I also graduated in 2018 as a Registered Dental Hygienist.
A little backstory; I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease a little over 20 years ago which is what started my cooking journey. I suddenly could no longer walk into a restaurant and order something that was safe for me to eat AND that tasted good. From that moment on, I made it my mission to learn to cook all of my favorite foods in a safe and tasty way, so I would never feel like I was missing out ever again. Through the years, I have worked on developing many different recipes and now have many meals that have become staples in our household!
Cooking, or creating anything in general, is one of my biggest passions in life and I love being able to share it with the community. Through a few more autoimmune diagnoses, I have had to further restrict my diet and am now dairy free. About 99% of our menu items are dairy free, but if they are not, they can be made to be! We can also cater to other food allergens/restrictions. I truly believe nothing tastes better than home cooked, made from scratch food, which is why we make everything ourselves.
